The short version
Data Not Collected
Pin & Tumbler is a single-player locksmith workshop game. It has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. The app does not connect to the internet and does not send any information about you to us or to anyone else.
Information stored on your device
To save your game, the app keeps the following on your iPhone or iPad only, using Apple's Core Data framework inside the app's private storage:
- Your shop name, coins, reputation and shop tier
- Tools, workbench upgrades, lock cabinet entries and craft levels
- Achievements, daily streak, recent jobs and the current job board
- Settings such as sound, music, haptics, appearance and reminders
- Photos you choose to add to the Spotting Journal or as your shop portrait, with the lock type and note you enter
We cannot see this information. It is removed when you use "Reset progress" in Settings or delete the app. Device backups you make with iCloud or a computer are handled by Apple under your own backup settings.
Camera and photo library
The camera is used only when you tap "Take photo" in the Spotting Journal or on the Shop sign screen. iOS asks for permission at that moment. When you choose "Choose from library", the system photo picker lets you pick a single image; the app receives only the photo you select.
Chosen pictures are resized and saved inside the app. They are never uploaded, shared or analysed. You can delete any journal photo or remove your shop portrait at any time.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app schedules local reminders on your device: when new customers arrive at your job board, when your daily tip jar is ready, and a gentle reminder if you have been away for a couple of days. These are created by iOS on the device; no push server or identifier is involved. You can turn them off in the app's Settings or in iOS Settings.

Children
The game is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your region).
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete on our side. Everything the app stores is under your control on your own device, and you can erase it with "Reset progress" or by deleting the app. These choices apply wherever you live, including under the GDPR, UK GDPR and CCPA/CPRA.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated effective date, and the app's in-app Privacy screen will be updated in the same release.
